call me coach, a dirty hippie & a diy-er.

I'm
Allison mckail

Luke passed away after 10 loyal years by my side on july 31, 2022. I can't talk about the human i am, or the business i have today without him.
He loved playing fetch,
hanging out at the gym,
& we was obsessed with his frisbee.

he was a damn good dog.

discipline & giving yourself grace.

i want to help you find the sweet spot between

I was in college when I was introduced to the kind of power focusing on your fitness & health can bring to a life. Shortly after graduating with a bachelors of fine arts in 2014, I collected my very expensive peice of paper and jumped head first into a totally different career path.. the fitness.

This leap taught me the biggest lesson of my life. knowledge is everywhere.

so in 2016, I took my OPEX ccp, worked inside OPEX Gyms & focused on working 1:1 with individuals of all sorts of backgrounds Ranging from Competitive sport, to weight loss.
to this day, the opex methodology is still the main method i use with my clients. I have yet to find another method of coaching that gives humans the 360 degree support they need to in and out of the gym.

The man take away? I put the human first, and only after conversation and connection does the science and theory of program design get applied to ze human.

The science is shit-all if the humans aren't on the same page.

After years of bouncing between gyms in the fitness space - I realized I was chasing a life that i had to figure out how to create on my own.

so in January of 2020, I decided to start my own remote coaching business. One that allowed me to stand on my own soap box and share my experiences & knowledge in my own voice.

It was terrifying, but the response was undeniable. I was right where I was supposed to be.

remote Coaching

#beachbumfitness ?

the origin story:

wait, so what is,

gyms shut down in 2020, & we needed to figure shit out,  fast. gyms rented equipment or we used what we had; trees & Pets were not off limits. We found our new training situations in our yards, driveways, parks (or at the beach).

I WAS SHARING this new training situation via THE 'GRAM. I abandoned my shoes, TRAINed at the BEACH, and MY ANKLET COLLECTION WAS MULTIPLYING AT AN IRRATIONAL RATE.

Afer while, my followers who were feeling the same affects I was, started abandoning their shoes, & chasing the sunshine with me.

we FOCUSED ON BEING RIGHT WHERE WE WERE.
& THIS THING WE WERE DOING SOON COINED INTO THE TERM #BEACHBUMFITNESS.

"I Knew I needed someone to guide me. Little did I know, you would change my entire outlook on training. My biggest lesson learned, was having you in my corner who knows their shit & helped me accomplish things i used to dream of."

HELP HUMANS DO THE FITNESS IN THE BEST WAY THAT IS RIGHT FOR THEM by listening to what they want & combining it with what they need.

IN AN INDUSTRY WHERE FAKE COMPLEXITY SELLS,
I KEEP IT REAL & DAMN SURE won't MAKE IT HARDER THAN IT has TO BE.

I want to show humans there is a way to incorporate ze fitness without it needing to become every aspect of your identity as a being.

After making my big move to the beach, I have been all consumed with making my new house feel like home. Right now that is a lot of treasure hunting in goodwill, facebook marketplace,  road side freebies
or The gardening department.

Once the heat comes back,
you will find me outside chasing the sunshine on my paddle board, or with my toes in the sand, looking for seashells.

MY MISSION:

After making my big move to the beach, meeting my soul mate & buying a house - my downtime is all consumed with making our new house feel like home. Between renovating a closet, painting the walls, or refinishing furniture - i like to keep my hands dirty.

if i'm not inside,
YOU WILL FIND ME OUTSIDE CHASING THE SUNSHINE ON MY PADDLE BOARD or with my toes in the sand LOOKING FOR SEASHELLS.

when i'm not coaching or werkin' on the biz:

I'm probably covered in paint, Dirt or sand

"... & most importantly, I feel fucking amazing. I feel strong and worthwhile. I have confidence that I can fitness consistently. My resting heart rate is significantly lower. I stopped drinking except for special occasions - and it all started with you."

I LIKE TO BELIEVE I'M breathing FRESH AIR into the fitness space & LEAVING it a bit MORE AUTHENTIC THAN THE
WAY I FOUND IT.
sometimes I loathe telling people what i do, primarily because of the stereotype that comes with,
Owning an online coaching business (heavily through the 'gram).
But I also bust my ass
working to bring
 The best to my clients.

jack of all trades, master of none; but oftentimes better than a master of one.

I've never been scared to learn a new skill or ask 100 different questions.
